Some of the work I've done.

any other designs to share on this? Very interesting and whats the durability like?
Pretty much any design can be done if you have a clear black and white pattern to use. It's not coming off its very permanent. As in no way to remove it with refinishing. I practiced on a couple of links and it hardened the titanium where it engraved and when I tried to refinish it the engraved design became raised as the softer titanium sanded away.

BRAVO!!! 👏👏👏

The laser is VERY interesting…could it be used to do a small logo on temples or a nose bridge?

Proud to say two of the frames above are mine…well done, well done indeed! 🪖👍
I haven't messed around with it too much with paint yet. But it is capable of very detailed work. The graffiti Holbrook a few pages back I did with the laser. At the right setting it'll burn away a layer of paint.

Well after idk how many years messing around with blasting media, chemicals to darken titanium and anything else I could think of I think I've finally gotten the earlier darker x metal finish figured out. In the pictures the right arm and right orbital has been refinished, and the left arm and orbital is original x metal finish. It's a pretty early penny, under 100 serial so it should be a pretty reasonable example of the earlier x metal finish. And the last 2 photos are comparing the finish vs a part just blasted with aluminum oxide.

And the darker finish vs just being blasted with aluminum oxide.
