DIY Custom/MPH Flak Jacket.

I hadn't thought about doing anything to a Flak Jacket until now. I picked this up last week and it was as rough as it was cheap. So I really had nothing to lose. The gray lenses came out of a BNIB MPH Crystal Black pair that I put Prizm lenses in, BNIB Root Beer rubber I bought and never used and just enough paint leftover from other projects. That's what makes it Custom/MPH.

I need to find a junk pair, have rubbers and lenses but no frame to customize! Nice job at rescuing an otherwise throw away pair!

@SFFrog Thanks Brother, I'm trying. A compliment from THE SUPREME CRAFTSMAN, that carries a lot of weight in my book, going to make me try even harder.
P.S. Trying to do a fade that small with an ancient gravity feed Sata touch up gun convinced me.......I need an airbrush ASAP!

Looks great. Where do you guys find all these beater pairs I look on eBay and I'll I can find for beaters are completely broken or way over priced for what they are.

I find most of what I customize on eBay, the rest I've beat up myself. As far as eBay you just have to put in the time to look. I refine my search by only looking in a specific price range. These Flak Jackets were $35. I already had new rubbers and lenses so IMO that price wasn't to bad. I also picked up a $22 Gascan and a $20 Fuel Cell. Just be patient they're out there.

There's a lot of beat up frames. If you've got lenses, not an issue! Just search for parts/frame. There's also a lot of smaller eBayers who get loads of store models and mess the titles up on them. For example, found a super cheap Gascan simply because they called it a Gas Can lol
