Anyone know what this display item might be for? Picked up during a recent hall. Thanks all.

Probably for clothing or shoes. Usually there are some shelves or hooks that go into the holes on the front.

Agree, possibly a shoe display once the shelves are there or possibly for clothing. Either way it is missing the shelves / hooks.
