Sticky Rubber Covering on Oakley pelican watch box

Hi OF peeps...

Just picked up my dream watch HP... which came in an Oakley Pelican Watch box, but the rubberised box coating seems tacky to the touch.

Does anyone have any tips how to make the Rubber not so tacky.

Mine was somewhat like that and I cleaned it with automotive products and it was better.
